Rafael dos Anjos seemed to really enjoy seeing Nate Diaz lock in that rear-naked choke in the second round.
In case you haven’t heard, Nate Diaz upset the odds at UFC 196 by handing the Notorious his first loss in the UFC.
The turning point of the fight was when Diaz landed flush with a firm left hand that wobbled the featherweight champion. McGregor didn’t look the same after eating that shot and more soon followed as the Stockton native began to let his hands go. In desperation, McGregor shot in for the takedown and Diaz put his BJJ black belt to use by taking his back and submitting him with a rear-naked choke.
Rafael dos Anjos, who was replaced by Diaz in the main event after breaking his foot in training, was watching the fight. The lightweight champion seemed to take a lot of joy from seeing the Notorious lose.
