Pisstaker extraordinaire Neil Seery’s reaction to Conor McGregor’s retirement was comedy gold

Never change, Neil Seery.

The Irish MMA veteran is currently preparing for the biggest fight of his life. “2 Tap” is scheduled to take on fifth-ranked flyweight Kyoji Horiguchi at the UFC’s Netherlands debut on May 8.

Many have pegged the 25-year-old Japanese fighter as the future king of the division and just two fights ago he took on Demetrious Johnson for the belt, which he ultimately lost via armbar with just one second left in the fight.

Following up his superb submission win over Jon Delos Reyes at UFC Dublin with a victory over Horiguchi would see Seery shoot up the flyweight rankings and emerge as a legitimate title contender at 125 lbs. However, if you thought this pressure has affected the Team Ryano standout’s sense of humour, you’d be completely wrong.

The big MMA news everyone’s talking about this morning is Conor McGregor announcing his retirement from the UFC, which Dana White claims is because he refused to show up to the UFC 200 press conference as it clashed with his training in Iceland.

Following this announcement, “2 Tap” has some demands of his own.

You can catch Seery v Horiguchi on UFC Fight Night 87 which features a heavyweight headliner between Andrei Arlovski and hometown hero Alistair Overeem. The card also features honourary Irishman Gunnar Nelson taking on the highly touted Albert Tumenov and Dubliner Paddy Holohan vs Willie Gates.
