Frankie Edgar looks about as ready as he’ll ever be to add another line to his entry in the UFC history books.
The Answer is set to take on Jose Aldo for the interim featherweight strap at the landmark UFC card on Saturday. If he wins, Edgar will become one of only three fighters to have held two titles in two separate divisions in UFC history, following in the footsteps of BJ Penn and Randy Couture.
In order to achieve this feat though, the New Jersey native will have to gain retribution for that razor-close loss he endured at the hands of the Brazilian great at UFC 156.

By all indications, Edgar is 100% ready to seize this opportunity with both hands swinging though. While Aldo has been obsessing over a certain Notorious character in his pre-fight interviews, Edgar has kept his eyes firmly on the prize.
As we enter fight week, with all the hard hours in the gym already put in, the focus now shifts towards making championship weight. Edgar posted a sneak peek of his promo for UFC 200 on Instagram and judging by his shredded physique, he should have no problem tipping the scales at 145 lbs or under.
