The UFC have really called a Hail Mary play with their decision to have Conor McGregor coach opposite Urijah Faber on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter.
The promotion has struggled to pique interest in the reality show in recent years but it is not for want of trying as they’ve attempted a live series of TUF, a season that featured male and female fighters living in the same house and the most recent season which flipped the concept to have rival gyms compete against one another.
But now they’re using their biggest draw, Conor McGregor, in an attempt to revive the show and the set is already in place for filming as Team U.S.A. coach Urijah Faber posted a picture of the team dressing rooms this evening.

Filming is reportedly starting next week which means that McGregor’s time in Vegas isn’t coming to a close any time soon.
The season will feature 32 lightweights competing for a UFC contract and, after the clash between McGregor and Faber last Friday, it makes for exciting viewing.
