Paul Redmond isn’t likely to ever forget 2015.
The Dubliner made his UFC debut in January and then followed it up with another fight in Glasgow in July.
Unfortunately, the former Cage Warriors man lost both times and earlier this week it was confirmed that he was being cut from the UFC roster for 2016.
The Dubliner was fighting at featherweight, which was a shock for a man more used to life at lightweight, but despite his difficulties he was ultra committed to his training and fighting.
Even with a 0-2 record in the UFC, there was huge disappointment from all Irish MMA fans at how he was cut so quickly but, thankfully, Redmond isn’t ready to hang up his gloves just yet.
He’s revealed this morning that, having spent a very successful period with the Cage Warriors promotion from 2012 to 2014 which saw him earn a 7-1 promotional record, he’s returning there for 2016
Cant wait to go back to where it all started with @CageWarriors for 2016 big thanks to @GrahamBoylan #BigYearAhead https://t.co/csI0oVUq5q

As of yet there’s no word when Redmond could be seen back inside the cage competitively but we’re hoping to see Redser early in 2016.
