What do they put in the water in Finglas?
Neil Seery faced the toughest challenge of his mixed martial arts career on Sunday afternoon and the Dublin flyweight proved that, at 36, he can still take the heaviest shots from one of the hardest hitters at 125 lbs.
Seery was tasked with taking on recent flyweight title challenger Kyoji Horiguchi in Rotterdam and, despite being the most significant underdog on the whole card, '2 Tap' would not wilt under Horiguchi's bombs, some of which you can see in the below video.
The closest Seery came to the win was in the first round when he almost availed of the lack of sweat on both men by threatening with an armbar.
But Horiguchi remained disciplined and was just too quick for the Team Ryano stand-out on the feet as he boxed his way to a unanimous decision victory.
But the talking point in the wake of the bout was the unbreakable will of the toughest Irishman on the UFC roster.
