Who saw that coming?
Conor McGregor has suffered his first loss at the hands of Nate Diaz in UFC 196’s main event. Diaz forced the tap from the Notorious with a rear naked choke with 48 seconds left in the second round.
The first round clearly went to the featherweight champion with McGregor pummeling the Stockton native with vicious punches that turned his face to hamburger meat.
However, it all changed in the second stanza when Diaz began connecting with his punches up top. McGregor was rocked by a left hand, which caused him to shoot in for a takedown. This played right into Diaz’s, a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wheelhouse who was able to get the Notorious’ back and lock in the submission.
IT'S ALL OVER!!!
