If he wants to fight so badly, perhaps Nate Diaz should think about getting back into the Octagon.
Diaz hasn’t fought in the UFC since his narrow defeat to Conor McGregor in their 2016 rematch and despite the best efforts of Dana White to find him a fight, the Stockton lightweight remains content on the sidelines.
For some reason, however, Diaz continues to throw down for free and the most recent example of his scrapping came at the weekend, when Diaz was involved in a brawl in the stands at a grappling event in his native California.
The eighth-ranked lightweight was pictured swinging punches in the crowd at the Fight to Win Pro 77 grappling event in Sacramento on Friday night.
TMZ obtained footage of the incident in which Diaz can be seen throwing a looping right hand before backing away.
It’s unknown what sparked the altercation but Fight To Win CEO Seth Daniels claimed that Diaz was responding to some verbal abuse from someone in attendance.

Diaz, who became a father just last week, is notorious for engaging in brawls outside the cage and, only last month, he clashed with former opponent Clay Guida at a Combate Americas show.
Most professional fighters are of the opinion that it’s silly to fight for free and let’s just hope that the next time we see Diaz, it will be in the UFC’s Octagon.
It was recently revealed that the UFC had a plan in place to stage something of a mini-tournament in which Diaz would fight former long-time welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and Conor McGregor would meet current 155lbs king Khabib Nurmagomedov, with the winners facing off, but that idea has since fallen by the wayside.
