Much like his arch-rival, Nate Diaz has a habit of getting into altercations when he’s a spectator.
Nate Diaz showed up to Combate Americas event on Friday night to support his teammate Chris Avila. The man who Artem Lobov put a beating on at UFC 202 lost a decision to Horacio Gutierrez. However, it was Diaz’s behaviour that overshadowed everything else that happened on the night.
According to TUF 27 contestant Tyler Diamond, Diaz pushed Clay Guida during a heated altercation. Diamond intervened to try to calm the situation down, but he claims that Diaz gave him a ‘Stockton slap’ for his troubles. Diamond and Guida were in attendance to support their Team Alpha Male teammate Anthony Avila who defeated Jose Luis Verdugo.

I was talking face to face with Clay, he got pushed & I saw Nate & about ten other dudes so I stepped up with my arms out trying to descalate the situation & Nate then slapped me while one of his groupies rabbit punched me.

There is history between Guida and Diaz. Guida, ‘The Carpenter’ handed Diaz his first loss inside the UFC’s Octagon. He defeated the Stockton native via split decision in 2009.
The pair apparently had a scuffle at UFC 199, but more recently, Guida has been pushing hard for a rematch against Diaz. It wasn’t that long ago when the Team Alpha Male fighter was offering ‘bitch’ Diaz a chance for revenge on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Diaz is being linked with a return against former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre in a lightweight contest. If this fight goes ahead, it would mark the Canadian’s 155 lb debut.
