‘We’re coming back here this year. I don’t give a s**t what the schedule is’

Dana White has confirmed that the UFC will return to the UK ‘this year’ after an incredible night in London, on Saturday. Molly McCann and Paddy Pimblett will be itching to get involved.

The UFC president returned to London’s O2 Arena on Saturday night with several British fighters on display.

The crowd at the O2 were on top form from the very start, with Muhammad Mokaev securing a stunning submission victory over Cody Durden in the first fight of the night.

Popular British stars Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett and Molly McCann both won their respective fights, with Tom Aspinall dominating Alexander Volkov in the main event to round off one of the most successful nights in British MMA history.

Dana White already making plans to return

Following the conclusion of the fights, White admitted that he was blown away by the atmosphere inside the arena – so much so that he is planning to make changes to the current schedule in order to return to the United Kingdom.

During the post-fight press conference, he said: “Tonight re-energised me and reminded me of what it’s like to do fights over in the UK.

“We’re coming back here this year. I don’t give a s**t what the schedule is.

“We’re gonna be moving s**t around when we get home.”

Although it remains unclear when and where another card in the UK would take place, White revealed that he already has tentative plans for who will feature on the promotion’s next card.

He added: “The way I look at it, you do half the kids that won and you come back and you do a card with them.

“And then you take the other half to Abu Dhabi in October. Just off the top of my head, that’s what I’m thinking right now.”
