There is terribly sad news this evening about one of MMA’s up-and-coming fighters.
It has been confirmed that despite intense medical intervention over the last number of days, Jordan Parsons has died.
The news was confirmed in statement by Bellator president Scott Coker this evening

The 25-year-old featherweight was in a coma after being involved in a hit-and-run incident on Sunday evening.
It’s believed he was walking home when he was hit by a motor vehicle in Delray Beach, Florida. Doctors amputated the bottom half of Parsons right leg earlier this week in an attempt to save his life.

Parsons (11-2, 2-1 Bellator) had been competing under the Bellator MMA banner for his last three fights, finishing his first two opponents before losing via split decision to Bubba Jenkins in November.
There have been several tributes paid to the fighter tonight.
