Dana White unconcerned by Conor McGregor’s party antics ahead of Chandler fight

Footage of Conor McGregor partying emerged online.

You would think Conor McGregor would be in full fight mode ahead of his first bout in over three years, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Instead, the Dubliner has been sharing footage of himself partying until the early hours of the morning at his Crumlin pub ‘The Black Forge Inn’.

And not just partying, but partying with ex-mafia boss Michael Frenzeses Jr, the son of Sonny Franzese, who was a caporegime in the Colombo crime family.

It’s not exactly elite preparation but it’s not like this particularly concerns UFC CEO Dana White.

When asked whether McGregor’s preparation is appropriate, White swiftly pointed to how similar questions used to follow UFC legend Jon Jones before some of his biggest wins.

“We were talking about Jon Jones,” he said at a UFC 302 press conference.

“Jon Jones was doing a lot of that stuff too back in the day and many other fighters throughout history.”

He then continued to speak, when he probably shouldn’t have.

“I don’t know what’s real on the internet and what’s not real on the internet.”

A point which might be valid if some of the footage in question wasn’t posted on McGregor’s personal Instagram account.

“I don’t know timing-wise; in one of them he’s got a beard, in one of them he doesn’t have a beard,” continued White witheringly.

“I have no idea, I don’t know if any of that is real or true or whatever.

“But Conor is not a dumb guy and this is obviously a big fight for him.

“He’s calling it the best comeback in the history of sports and all of that stuff. So we’ll see what happens.”

Dublin’s 3Arena will host a press conference tomorrow, June 3, ahead of the fight between McGregor and Chandler.
