Matt Brown still ‘really offended’ by Snoop Dogg comments about Conor McGregor

“If I see him at the UFC Performance Institute, I might just punch him.”

After the Money Fight, the vast majority of UFC employees had nothing but kind words to say about Conor McGregor. Snoop Dogg was one of the few exceptions.

Snoop Dogg was snapped up by the promotion to provide alternative commentary for Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. While he’s got a cushy UFC gig, once the promotion’s biggest superstar stepped into the ring, he was rooting for the boxer.

After Floyd Mayweather knocked out Conor McGregor, Snoop Dogg sent out a video that quickly went viral. He celebrated Money’s win while talking absolute smack about ‘the Notorious.’ (Warning: Video is very NSFW, wear headphones!)

“Fuck that motherfucking punk-ass McGregor, you bitch! Fuck him!”

“That’s what you get for coming to a gang fight with a motherfucking butterknife, you bitch-ass motherfucker!”

Dogg’s reaction pissed off a lot of people, namely Alan Jouban. The UFC welterweight’s call for the rapper to be fired by the UFC received a lot of traction online.

Another 170 lber, Matt Brown, still holds a grudge six months later. As he explained on the Joe Rogan MMA Show, the rapper best watch his back if he ever meets him.

“Snoop Dogg, that piece of shit. I’ll call him out. He called out Conor, remember? He called him a bitch. That’s not cool, man.”

“I don’t care (if he was fucked up). He put it out in public. He could have apologised, deleted it, whatever. If I go to the UFC Performance Institute, I might just punch him if I see him there. I’m cool with that. It really offends me, man.”

Brown is a big fan of McGregor. What he isn’t a fan of are people who criticise folks who do what they could never even imagine doing.

“People have their opinions about Conor, I respect the shit out of that guy. I love what he’s done, I love his shtick. I think he’s a true sportsman. I like that he comes into the limelight for a little while then he goes back, and I think he goes back and he works his ass off. He wouldn’t be where he’s at if he didn’t, right?”

Snoop Dogg vs ‘the Immortal’ could be the best MMA rivalry we never saw coming.
