Logan Paul said he felt like his body was almost “split in half” while training with UFC champion, Alexander Volkanovski.

Paul teamed up with Volkanovski and fellow UFC star Israel Adesanya in Puerto Rico. Both fighters became the first UFC stars to be sponsored by Prime Energy – the popular hydration drink owned by Paul and KSI.

The YouTube star admitted that Volkanovski was the victor on the day during their grappling session, despite being considerably shorter than the 28-year-old.

Speaking on his Impaulsive podcast, he said: “You’re the best in the world at what you do, I got to experience it. You are so strong and dominant, it’s like I knew it going into it. You put me in a body lock and I felt like you could have tightened your legs so much and literally split me in half, I’m not doing BJJ again.

“We were drilling this body triangle, where you have someone in your legs and hold them. He goes ‘My legs are short, I don’t do the body triangle often’. Then when we actually went to do it, he almost kills me with the body triangle. Jiu-jitsu is a whole different beast, you don’t want to fight a guy in the street who knows jiu-jitsu.”

Volkanovski is regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the UFC and the Australian is currently preparing to defend his featherweight title against Yair Rodriguez in the main event of UFC 290 next month.

He suffered his first defeat in February as he tried to become a two-weight champion in a controversial loss against lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
