Khabib Nurmagomedov is of the opinion that actions speak louder than words.
Nurmagomedov has seemingly taken no offence from Conor McGregor’s lengthy Instagram statement this weekend in which he vented his frustration about fighters’ tendency to “bitch” nowadays.
Starting off by addressing former sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi, ‘The Notorious’ also made reference to Nurmagomedov’s discussions with the referee at UFC 229.
Nurmagomedov successfully defended his UFC lightweight title against his Irish rival in October at an event which will be remembered more for the post-fight melee, the punishments for which have yet to be handed out.

McGregor is under no illusions about how the fight with Nurmagomedov played out but he admitted that he couldn’t believe how much time the undefeated Russian spent talking to referee Herb Dean.
McGregor wrote: “The same thing I said to Khabib at the end of round 3. My round. Don’t be bitching! Every single round bitching to the referee. He was even bitching in the fourth round from mount position. It baffled me. If anyone should have been me saying anything to the referee, it should have been me in that 1st round. That round he held onto my legs for four minutes straight. With zero activity.
“But a fight is a fight who gives a fuck. Crying to the referee like a proper bitch. I was trying to dig my fingers into his Adam’s Apple. Many individuals in the fight business, I have learned lately, are absolute bitches.
“I know you’s are broke boys. But don’t be broke bitches.”
Nurmagomedov has issued a succinct and savage response to McGregor by posting a photograph of the neck crank which forced the Dubliner to tap out in the fourth round before claiming that “You will live with this shame all your life.”
