Khabib’s manager tweeted that the news will “blow your mind.”
From the moment Khabib Nurmagomedov comprehensively defeated Conor McGregor at UFC 229 and decided to vault himself into the crowd with knees, arms and presumably fists flying, there has been speculation regarding who the Dagestani’s next opponent would be.
The defeated Irishman McGregor took to social media almost instantly after the fight to state that he would like to take on Khabib in a rematch, but the 30-year-old grappler’s manager was quick to dismiss the possibility of the two facing off again anytime soon.
Speaking to TMZ, Abdelaziz threatened McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh before calling him a prostitute. Yep.
“This guy quit. How are you going to get a rematch? He’s a bitch,” said Abdelaziz.
You know what makes me mad more than anything else? Not the talk about me or Khabib – stuff like that I brush it off – but when you talk all this talk and the third round comes and you come and say it’s business – that is a whore.
“Like I said before he is a prostitute and I still think he is a prostitute. I didn’t change my mind.”
We will blow your mind big news coming @TeamKhabib 🔥🔥🔥🙏🏻

Aside from talk of a rematch which looks unlikely to happen for the time being, the main speculation has centred around a possible cross-discipline bout between Khabib and none other than boxer Floyd Mayweather.
Presumably deliriously excited with the enormous sums of money he earned from his fairly casual victory over Conor McGregor in August 2017, Mayweather has been extremely open to the idea, saying: “Oh, we fighting”.
“I’m my own boss. So I can’t say what’s going on on Khabib’s end. But, on my end, we can make it happen,” he told TMZ.
All of these rumours, suggestions, counter-suggestions and comments of “Oh, we fighting” would lead most of us to believe that the big news Abdelaziz is talking about may well be the Mayweather bout.
Either that, or Khabib really is joining WWE.
