Jose Aldo obviously isn’t expecting to outpoint Conor McGregor

In for the kill

Neither fighter expects this one to go the distance.

Conor McGregor feels Jose Aldo will not rise from his stool for the second round of his UFC 194 unification bout. His coach, John Kavanagh, thinks the fight may be over after 60 seconds.

The McGregor camp are undoubtedly confident but the view from Brazil is equally positive.

On Wednesday, Aldo’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach expressed his opinion that there was no possible way The Notorious could defeat his man.

Pedro Rizzo, his striking coach, has gone further.

Rizzo believes the featherweight champion is prepared for every shot McGregor can throw at him. He told Porto do Vale Tudo:

“Aldo has trained well for other fights but never as well as now.

“I don’t like to talk much but things have been very different in the ring. I don’t think this fight will last more than three rounds.”

He added, “Aldo is prepared in a way I’ve never seen. He is very strong.

“As far as doping concerns go, he is being tested every week and is absolutely clean.”
