UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal left his post-fight interview at UFC London to fight fellow welterweight Leon Edwards.
Masvidal stopped Liverpool’s Darren Till 03:05 into the second round in a fight of the night performance while Edwards prevailed over SBG’s Gunnar Nelson in the co-main event of the evening with a split decision win.
Masvidal seemed to be aggravated by something Edwards said during his interview and immediately confronted the Birmingham native with an altercation quickly following.
“I can’t even believe that this happened,” UFC President Dana White told ESPN. We need to do a much better job of making sure this shit doesn’t happen at an of our events!!!!”
Just before the brawl, Masvidal told interviewer Laura Sanko:
“I said I live for that, and that’s to take the breath out of everybody. It’s amazing to silence people. It’s a drug that most people have never tasted.”
The fight reportedly started over Edward’s calling for a fight between the two in the summer.
