It’s just been a whirlwind.
What a rollercoaster it has been for Jon Jones.
One of the most talented fighters in combat sports history is either incredibly unlucky or incredibly unwise in some of his choices.
It was announced this week that Jones’ latest bout between himself and bitter rival Daniel Cormier has been put down as a No Contest after the undefeated fighter failed a drugs test.
Jones has been quiet, understandably, since it was originally announced he failed the drugs test but when he was stripped of the title this week he may begin to open up.
Well, one Irishman took to Twitter and pleaded for the 30-year-old to confess about steroid use.
@JonnyBones just tell the truth any why!!everybody will respect you more for it….

Only for Jones to come back and respond.
Dude the truth is I would never do steroids, I put that on my children and I put that on my Heavenly Father https://t.co/i8EEbrQU5x

“The truth is I would never do steroids,” his response reads.
“I put that on my children and I put that on my Heavenly Father.”
Since the bout was turned to a no contest the UFC has not officially recognised Cormier as the new Light Heavyweight Champion with their website putting him as ‘0’ in the rankings.

Jones has also been removed from the Pound-For-Pound rankings, where he stood top of the pile, with Daniel Cormier moving up to sixth.
