Powell, who was discovered by the UFC through the YouTube series Dana White’s Looking For A Fight, shared a pre-surgery photo on Instagram on Wednesday. He seemed to be in remarkably good spirits for a man on a hospital trolley with a testicle injury that required surgery.
While practising knees with Lauzon, Powell suffered a ruptured testicle. According to Powell, Lauzon did the damage through ‘sheer force.’ He explained that he needed to go under the knife to get a blood cot drained and ‘get the goods repaired’.

As for J-Lau, he didn’t have an awful lot to say on the matter. Although, he seemed to hold his hands up and take fault for the horrible injury.

Thankfully, this story has a happy ending.
Powell’s surgery was a success and now the time for rest begins. He will have to spend a few consecutive days resting his whole body, but once he’s healed up, he wants another trip to the Octagon. He also seized the opportunity to plug the makers of the cup that he wears for every fight.
