UFC 194 just got that little bit more… massive.
It was announced in the early hours of Friday morning that Chris Weidman will defend his middleweight strap against Luke Rockhold in the co-main event of the huge card on December 12th.
Undefeated Weidman (13-0) enters into this one off the back of a superb first-round TKO win over Vitor Belfort at UFC 187. The All-American holds impressive victories over Mark Munoz, Demian Maia, Anderson Silva (twice), Lyoto Machida
Rockhold (14-2) is riding a four-fight wining streak,with his latest victory coming by way of a second-round submission of veteran Machida at UFC on FOX 15. The former Strikeforce middleweight champion also holds wins over Michael Bisping, Ronaldo Souza and Tim Kennedy.
UFC 194 will be headlined by the highly anticipated fight between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor. At the time of writing, no other fights have been announced for the event.
