Gunnar Nelson is looking for someone to stand in for original opponent John Hathaway after the Englishman fell out of their UFC 189 clash, citing injury. Nelson (13-1-1) is looking to rebound from his first professional loss after coming out on the wrong end of a split decision at the hands of Rick Story back in October. But his desire to get his journey to a title shot at 170lbs is in danger now that he's opponentless with just 18 days to go until the event. And if the UFC can't find a stand-in for the Icelandic fighter, SBG head coach John Kavanagh could be in for a quieter night than he'd have anticipated with just the little matter of the UFC featherweight title fight on the cards for him and Conor McGregor.
