If you’re feeling in any way queasy, it would probably be wise not to look at Pat Cummins’ shin.
The UFC light heavyweight famously claimed to have made Daniel Cormier cry after a training session while DC was preparing for the US Olympic wrestling team. Now he’s making grown men across the globe tear up with his disgusting staph infection.
Cummins was set to take on New York native Gian Villante on the UFC’s first ever Albany card on December 9. After suffering three knockout losses in his last four trips to the Octagon, he was looking to get back to winning ways against the hometown favourite who was entering this fight off a decision loss to Ilir Latifi.
However, Villante will need a new opponent if he wishes to take part in the event as Cummins has been forced to withdraw from the contest with a staph infection. Just to prove that his reasoning for pulling out was legitimate, he cruelly uploaded a video of the injury to Twitter that is guaranteed to leave anyone who clicked play instantly regretting their decision.

This card has had a tough time with withdrawals, especially considering that it wasn’t exactly star-studded to begin with. A heavyweight contest between Derrick Lewis and Shamil Abdurahimov will provide the main event with knockout artists Francis Ngannou and Anthony Hamilton serving as the support act.
The exciting bantamweight scrap between New Yorker Aljamain Sterling and perpetual contender Raphael Assuncao was scraped after Sterling suffered an injury in his camp while the bout between Tatiana Suarez and Juliana Lima was also removed from the card due to the injury curse. Zubaira Tukhugov, who was set to face Tiago Trator, was also booted off the bill after failing an out-of-competition drug test.
