“You should see the other guy” doesn’t really apply here
Former UFC light heavyweight contender Pat Cummins earned the biggest win of his career at UFC 190, not that you could tell by looking at his face.
Cummins landed eight takedowns in the fight against Rafael Cavalcante and finished the Brazilian off in the lion’s den with a swarm of vicious elbows in the final round. The referee called the scrap to a halt 45 seconds in the final frame giving Durkan the TKO victory.
However, by Cummins’ own admission, he “got caught a couple of times”. That might be the understatement of the year as Feijao dominated the early striking exchanges, landing heavy punches straight to the former barista’s dome several times in the opening round.
Two days after the bout, UFC colour commentator uploaded a photo of the effects of Cavalcante’s punches to Instagram.
