On one hand, you have to admire his persistence.
On the other, Jesus, it’s nearly going to get to the stage where we’ll all just want him to have the bloody fight if it will shut him up. Either way, it looks like it might actually work.
Frankie Edgar wants to fight Conor McGregor, if you hadn’t heard. He wants to fight him at UFC 200.
The 34-year-old featherweight, who has never been knocked out in his MMA career, is fed up being passed over when it comes to The Notorious and he wants a slice of the red panty nights now. His pursuit of the Dubliner on social media has been nothing short of relentless, so much so that Dana White has now hinted that he could be pairing the two of them off with each other next.
But Edgar won’t take a few shallow words as guaranteed.
He’s ramped up his campaign yet again to face off with McGregor and he’s even reposting mashed-up photos of one punter’s fantasy UFC 200 card which, in fairness, looks like a bloody cracker.
Hey @FrankieEdgar give me a repost and lets get people hyped! @danawhite give Frankie the fight #UFC200 #UFC pic.twitter.com/HfRfB9Kfdv

Edgar is calling for Conor McGregor to “step up”. He’s calling for Lorenzo Fertitta to listen to him. He’s begging Dana White to make the fight happen.
One thing’s for sure, we can’t see him pulling out.
Hey @lorenzofertitta @danawhite give the fans what they want and what I deserve This is my time @TheNotoriousMMA step up.. take the fight!

McGregor would drop back to featherweight to try and shut up Edgar but it certainly would be a fascinating match-off.
The man who has never been knocked out.
Against the man who loves to do the knocking out.
Dana White has already all but confirmed that McGregor will be on the UFC 200 card in July. The only question remains: who will he fight?
