Frankie Edgar wants his shot.
The UFC featherweight, who disposed of Chad Mendes in one round last weekend, has accused Conor McGregor of running from his challenge.
When Jose Aldo pulled out of the original title fight with the Dubliner back in July, it was thought that either Edgar or Mendes would step up to fight for the interim belt and, as it was, Mendes got the nod.
But, now, Edgar is sick of waiting.
And, almost out of character for the American whose UFC record stands at 20-4-1, The Answer has called out Conor McGregor.
With talk that McGregor could make the move up to lightweight where Rafael Dos Anjos is already waiting, Frankie Edgar has struck out and asked if the Irish fighter was scared of him.
