Former UFC fighter Ryan Jensen gets robbed but manages to track down thieves

Not the best move for hopeful criminals

He may not be as recognisable a name as Anderson Silva but Ryan Jensen did fight eight times in the UFC octagon.

So he was more than a little confident in his ability to handle himself when he decided to track down two thieves who had stolen a number of items from Jensen’s car while the middleweight was leading a training session in his gym.

Jensen (20-8) used the premise’s CCTV footage to identify the criminals, as well as their stolen vehicle, before checking his bank balance.

Jensen, who has touched gloves with established UFC fighters such as Thales Leites, Demian Maia and Mark Munoz, found that the most recent transaction from his credit card had taken place at a local Walmart.

He then proceeded to travel to the store on the off chance of encountering the culprits.

Fortunately, the pair were still in the car park and Jensen managed to keep hold of them before police arrived to make the arrest.

The 37-year-old might not have enjoyed the most fruitful UFC career, amassing a promotional record of 2-6, but he will be more than happy with the fact that the stars were aligned in his favour that evening which let him thwart this would-be robbery.
