Sinead Kavanagh wanted the UFC next but she’ll have to make do with another performance in front of her adoring hometown fans as she is set to be announced as the latest addition to the upcoming BAMMA/Bellator card in December.
The undefeated Dubliner remains firmly on the UFC’s radar but she will continue her exclusive relationship with the BAMMA brand when the promotion sets up shop in the 3Arena on December 16.
Kavanagh has gone 3-0 since making her professional debut last September and she has been paired up with Finnish fighter Eeva Siiskonen (5-4-2) for next month’s stellar show on the banks of the Liffey.

The SBG bantamweight joins stablemates James Gallagher and Dylan Tuke on the card which will be co-produced by BAMMA and Bellator, the first of its kind in Ireland.
Kavanagh’s nickname, ‘KO’, is a fitting one given the fact that she stopped two of her three opponents via strikes inside the first round and she’ll be hopeful of doing the same to Siiskonen, whose stand-up is not to be underestimated.
“No one is going to stand in my way. I’m going to the top,” Kavanagh said after finishing Kataryzna Sadura at BAMMA 26.
“That’s 3-0. I should be on the card for UFC Belfast. I have the crowd, I have the wins and I have the talent.”
UFC Belfast is off the table for Kavanagh but another dominant performance on these shores is likely to open the door for a chance to take to the Octagon in 2017.
