News broke on Tuesday that Rafael dos Anjos was forced to withdraw from his super fight against Conor McGregor at UFC 196 after suffering a broken foot in training.

Obviously this means that McGregor will have to wait a little longer to get a chance at fulfilling his dream of being the first fighter to simultaneously hold two belts in two separate divisions in UFC history.

However, there is an event still there to headline and with McGregor still fit, plenty of fighters will be looking to step in and secure their red panty night, with Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrone thought to be the front-runners.

ESPN journalist Brett Okamoto confirmed on Twitter that Cowboy, despite having only fought last weekend, has already requested the bout, but it sounds like he would struggle to cut down to 155 lb from welterweight.

Cowboy came out of his most recent bout relatively unscathed by submitting Alex Oliveira in the first round at UFC Pittsburgh. After the fight, Cerrone made it known that he would be willing to fight at UFC London which goes down this weekend or in Vegas on March 5. It looks like he may have gotten his wish.
