The number three-ranked light-heavyweight in the world will be looking to relaunch his title run following his decision loss to Jon Jones
Cormier (15-1) suffered the first loss of his professional career against the undisputed champion in their grudge match at UFC 182. Jones out-grappled and out-struck Cormier over 25-gruelling minutes to get a unanimous decision victory with all three judges scoring the fight 49-46 in favour of the champ.
The elite wrestler will be looking to reaffirm his status as the number one contender against fellow wrestler Ryan Bader at Fight Night 68 in New Orleans. Bader (19-4), the winner of The Ultimate Fighter season 8, is currently riding a four-fight winning streak. The number five-ranked 205 lb-er comes into this bout off a split decision victory over heavy favourite Phil Davis at UFC on FOX 14.
