Dana White rarely backs away from an argument on Twitter.

The UFC president is in Vegas for another weekend of top MMA action but took time out from interviews and weigh-in duties to let rip at some social media naysayers.

Many fight fans are displeased with Joe Duffy’s lightweight bout with Dustin Poirier featuring on the Fight Pass prelims for UFC 195.

Win, lose or draw, Duffy will be long showered and changed by the time Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit contest the main event. It is a drop off from the Irishman being bestowed with the UFC Dublin main event last October [the fight was postponed after a Duffy concussion].

Duffy himself has accepted the UFC’s reasoning for the prelim decision but it has not stopped the uproar.

That continued last night, before Duffy’s weigh-in, but White was not willing to accept being called out by disgruntled Irish fight fans.

Both Duffy and Poirier made weight before engaging in a jocular stare-down.
