Ronda Rousey will get a chance to regain her title from Holy Holm, UFC President Dana White has confirmed.
Holm pulled off arguably the greatest upset in UFC history when she demolished Ronda Rousey, knocking her out with a kick to the head.
Since then, there has been much speculation about whether or not Rousey would get a change to seek revenge – but White says it’s a matter of when, and not if the two face off again.
Speaking on American radio show Mike & Mike, the UFC head said: “I think that if we didn’t make the rematch happen [I] would need to lose [my] promoter’s license.
“That fight’s going to happen. I don’t know when but it’s going to happen. Ronda Rousey has gone undefeated, taking the sport to another level and was beating the best women in the world.”
White then admitted that while he had not figured out the details yet, the two would be stepping into the octagon against each again sooner rather than later.
