Cynthia Calvillo was in a bad condition when she attempted to make weight for her first fight of the year.
Calvillo is scheduled to return to the Octagon in Argentina this weekend following her United States Anti-Doping Agency ban for testing positive for marijuana metabolites last December but her fight with Poliana Botelho may be in jeopardy.
Calvillo failed to make weight for her strawweight clash in Buenos Aires, coming in at 118lbs at the official weigh-in ceremony on Friday morning.
The Team Alpha Male fighter stumbled to the scales and looked worryingly unhealthy as she almost fell backwards off the scales while UFC employees held a towel in front of her.
At the time of writing, the fight remains on despite Calvillo’s refusal to continue cutting weight. She will instead be fined 20 per cent of her fight purse.

The 31-year-old anticipates the “toughest fight of my life” when she shares the Octagon with Brazil’s Botelho.
She told Ag Fight: “About Poliana, I know she’s a warrior. I know she’s tough. She likes to knock out her opponents, she likes to move forward, so I must be ready for that, as well. I’m sure she will be ready for me, too. She knows I’m a good grappler, I come from a famous wrestling team, I have great coaches. I have to make sure to work on my offense, but also on my defense. I have to be ready for everything, especially her charges.”
