18 lbs in 18 hours.
We’re no mathematicians but we reckon that works out as a pound an hour.
Cristiane Justino – better known as Cyborg – has showed the frightening extremities of weight-cutting with how much she has regained in under a day.
The Brazilian is defending her featherweight title at Invicta FC 15 on Saturday night but, since the weigh-ins, she has put on so much weight again that she’s almost a man’s welterweight.
Cyborg weighed in at 145 lbs. 18 hours later, she’s over 163 lbs according to her boyfriend’s instagram post.
And, when she’s finished with Daria Ibragimova, Cyborg wants a shot at Holly Holm.
But not at 135 lbs. At catchweight.
“Superfight? Yeah. I think that’s fair,” she told MMA Fighting. “Somebody can go up a little bit, I’ll go down a little bit. She’s [Holly Holm] the champ and if she says she wants fight me, then we can fight. I think it’s good for women’s MMA if we can fight. She knows I cannot go to 135, it’s too hard.”
