Cris Cyborg v Ronda Rousey is the fight everyone in women’s mixed martial arts wants to see.
The Brazilian scored a first-round TKO on her UFC debut against Leslie Smith in Curitiba, and fans in her home country are desperate to see the 16-1 fighter take on ‘Rowdy’ sooner rather than later.
Cyborg, whose real name is Cristiane Justino, had earlier claimed the Californian is “running” from a meeting in the Octagon.
So what better way to call out her prospective opponent than with the Running Man Challenge?
Rousey has been out of action since losing her undefeated record to Holly Holm at UFC 193.
The former bantamweight champion could return before the end of the year, according to UFC president Dana White, but may want a rematch with Holm or a meeting with Holm’s conqueror Miesha Tate before Cyborg gets a chance.
In the meantime, though, the 29-year-old has some acting responsibilities to take care of. She is due to star in a remake of 80s film Road House, while her nascent acting career will also see her join forces with Tina Fey for new comedy Do Nothing Bitches.
We’re yet to discover what Rousey makes of the challenge, but we can probably agree that Cyborg is…ahem…in the running.
