Depending on the outcome of some main events in December, a McGregor v Cerrone superfight could be on the cards for 2016.
McGregor has insisted that he intends to move up to lightweight if he unifies the featherweight title against Jose Aldo at UFC 194 on December 12.
One week later, Cerrone has the chance to win his first UFC title when he meets 155 lb champion Rafael dos Anjos in Flordia.
And Cowboy was just one of many fighters who came in for some typical McGregor criticism last night when the Irishman claimed Cerrone only makes $100,000 a fight compared to the seven figures that McGregor rakes in.
But Cowboy responded today, warning The Notorious to be careful of what he says as the pair will come face to face this week at the UFC’s Go Big event in Las Vegas.
Just focus on your task at hand @TheNotoriousMMA you do realize you have to see me face to face in 2 days

With McGregor’s proclivity to get in fighters’ faces and Cerrone’s tendency to not take any shit from opponents, this could result turn out to be a right ol’ ordeal.
