McGregor is officially back.
Dana White finally confirms that Conor McGregor will be returning to the octagon in the UFC and that his opponent will be Michael Chandler.
More than that, White goes on to reveal that McGregor will be one of the coaches in the new series of The Ultimate fighter, with Chandler coaching the opposite team.
This will undoubtedly lead to a very interesting build up and even though most McGregor fights are sell outs, this will surely elevate their rivalry and the interest in the fight as it leads up to it.
The Irishman hasn’t fought since since July 2021, and his last win came against Donald Cerrone back in 2020, so he will be keen to get another victory under his belt.
White confirmed all of the details of the Ultimate Fighter and the upcoming fight in a short clip that will cause a lot of excitement for MMA fans.
“We just confirmed the coaches for season 31 of The Ultimate fighter, Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler will go head to head as the coaches of Ultimate Fighter – Team McGregor vs Team Chandler.

“This season premiers Tuesday May 30th and runs through August 15th on ESPN the network, and ESPN Plus.
“Then at the end of the season, McGregor and Chandler will fight on ESPN Plus pay per view, and I do not have a date or a location for that, but we will announce it soon.
“So it’s early in the year but we have nothing but bad ass events lined up, I am pumped. So what you need to do, is plan which ones you need to go to, and I will see you at the fights.”
