You’d almost feel sorry for Eddie Alvarez. As for Stephen Thompson, how did he go the distance?!
One of the great boosts for fight fans feeling PPV withdrawal symptoms must be the array of extras the promotion puts out on YouTube and through its’ Fight Pass service.
Fight Motion is one of those extras and it provides a true, slowed down glimpse of some of the big shots that landed at UFC 205.
We get to witness Miesha Tate sleep-walking into a plethora of straight-on head shots from Raquel Pennington and see Khabib Nurmagomedov take some lusty blows from Michael Johnson before he went to work on the mat.
It is then apparent, if it was not before, that welterweights can trade some mighty shots. Both Thompson and 170 lb champion Tyron Woodley clattered each other into next week and still finished the fight, and in a majority draw too.
Last, but far from least, is Conor McGregor’s masterclass in striking and timing against dethroned lightweight champion Alvarez. Five of McGregor’s many, many significant strikes feature and you can see just how rocked Alvarez was by his 7 minutes and 59 seconds on the same canvas as The Notorious.
Longer Fight Motion videos are up on UFC.TV for fight fans.
