Conor McGregor’s latest training spot is definitely a step up from rain-plagued Dublin

A nice, gentle start before the real work begins.

Conor McGregor, Artem Lobov and Gunnar Nelson are safely ensconced in Los Angeles for a couple of days before Team SBG descend into UFC 194 madness in Las Vegas.

Before he set off for the USA, McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh stated, “Having witnessed the growth of the guys over the past few weeks and months I’m boarding this flight with even higher confidence that we are more than prepared to bring this home. It’s time to unify.”

On Monday, McGregor sparked headlines, upon his arrival at LAX, by backing Ronda Rousey for a comeback and telling US Presidential dreamer Donald Trump to ‘shut his fat mouth’.

Tuesday was all about getting over the last of the jet-lag and getting some gentle work-outs done.

Kavanagh took his three high-profile Straight Blast Gym fighters down to the beach and remarked upon a locale somewhat removed from Dublin’s Long Mile Road.

I’ve definitely trained in worse places!

Team SBG travel to Vegas later this week and ramp up the training regime ahead of the TUF finalé and fights for Nelson and McGregor at UFC 194.
