Nate Diaz is done cutting weight.
A conversation between Diaz and Donald Cerrone at UFC 235 earlier this month made it clear that the Stockton fighter was eager to fight as heavy as middleweight moving forward, meaning he would never have to go through a weight cut again.
Most of Diaz’s UFC fights have taken place at lightweight, while he has competed at welterweight on several occasions.
And despite the apparent verbal agreement between Diaz and Cerrone for a rematch at 185lbs, there is no denying the fact that a third clash between Diaz and Conor McGregor is worth much more to the UFC.
With each man holding a win over the other at welterweight, McGregor seems to have no issue meeting his perennial rival at any weight class that Diaz wants.

You already know me mate. I don’t give a fuck about the weight.

Interestingly, McGregor’s weight on the arrest report filed against him in Miami during the week stated that the Irishman currently walks around at 160lbs and while that may not be entirely reliable, McGregor would be a tiny middleweight.
‘The Notorious’ hasn’t fought since his submission defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 last October and while the Dubliner is reportedly keen on a rematch with the undefeated Russian, the realisation of a trilogy with Diaz is undoubtedly good for business.
