The plot thickens. The urine is flushed.
Conor McGregor has responded to news that Jose Aldo’s random drug test was compromised by the Brazilian’s manager.
According to MMA Fighting, Aldo underwent an unannounced drug test on Thursday morning. However, his urine sample will not be sent to the lab.
The random test was carried out by the Drug Free Sport lab to Andre Pederneiras, Aldo’s manager, raised suspicions as neither he nor the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission had been given a heads up about the test.
Apparently, Ben Mosier, who carried out the test, is licensed in Nevada [USA] but his visa does not permit him to carry out testing in Brazil. Mosier was fined $130 and ordered to leave the country within the next wee(k), or eight days. Whatever comes first.
This is how McGregor reacted.
I was random tested on May 23rd. Blood AND Urine. @josealdojunior you little weasel. You and your weasel coach. #AndNew

Aldo’s sample was discarded and he will be tested by Brazilian authorities later today. The sample will be sent to a WADA-accredited lab in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Aldo told Brazilian MMA site Combate: ‘That’s normal. We reached a point in this sport that not only me, but every fighter has to go through this.
‘This is my first time in Brazil. I think the Brazilian commission should be the one handling this, for the fact that I live here. But that’s not an issue. It’s nothing for me. Fight, pee, it’s the same thing to me.’
