Former UFC Lightweight champion Conor McGregor was highly agitated by Khabib Nurmagomedov at the UFC 229 press conference in New York on Thursday.
McGregor continually taunted Nurmagomedov about a variety of issues throughout the press conference and referenced his father, his relationship with arrested Russian billionaire Ziyavudin Magomedov and his failure to get off a UFC fighter bus during McGregor’s attack on said bus at a UFC 223 media day.
Tensions rose throughout an event UFC President Dana White referred to as ‘the darkest press conference’ he had witnessed during his time with the promotion and he detailed what McGregor said to Nurmagomedov in a video posted to his Twitter account.

McGregor: “Come on I’m not going to touch him. Let’s get face to face. Let’s get close. Look into my eyes kid. You’re dead mate. You’re dead. You’re dead. I can see blue lips. Blue lips. Blue lips. Breathe kid. Take a breath.”
McGregor then started to have a go at Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz and targeted his estranged son Noah.
“Shut your mouth, Ali Abdelaziz! Mad terrorist! You terrorist snitch!” McGregor yelled. “I know a lot about you as well you mad rat. I know a lot about you as well How’s Noah? How’s Noah?
“Shut your mouth. Never speak about me. Never in your life. Watch yourself around me because you’ll be out of here quick. Fuck you. Fool. Don’t come at the king. Don’t ever come at the king and if you do don’t miss.”
FYI, Noah is the son Ali abandoned in Colorado when he started as an informant for the NYPD and who he is $50k behind in child support for. @TheNotoriousMMA does his homework when preparing for war.
