Conor McGregor pays tribute to ‘inspiring’ Irish football team and fans after Bosnia win

Could we see the Notorious in France next summer?

Kevin McGillicuddy

We bet Conor McGregor wishes he was at the Aviva on Monday night.

The Dubliner is less than a month out from his world title fight with Jose Aldo in Las Vegas, so didn’t get to the game but the Notorious was in Dublin 4 in spirit as Ireland secured a famous result against Bosnia last night.

The UFC star has previously congratulated the Irish rugby team on their success,so it was no surprise that the MMA fighter decided to pay honour not only to th Irish football team but also the Irish fans who have really made the Aviva a fortress over the last few months

And he wasn’t the only Irish MMA fighter to enjoy last night’s action.

Cathal Pendred was one of the lucky few to get a ticket, and he had a perfect view for Jon Walters peno in the first half
