We’re almost there
In his second exclusive diary for SportsJOE, Conor McGregor is feeling patriotic as he heads to Boston with a huge Irish contingent “looking for German blood” on Sunday night
McGregor has the UFC at fever pitch as he readies for his Dennis Siver bout this weekend and the Irishman has spoken of how he feels at home in Boston.
After ‘The Notorious’ reflected in his first video diary on what has been a game-changing 2014, he is about to get the new year off to a flying start with a fight that could potentially see him in line for a title shot this summer.
In his latest SportsJOE diary, McGregor reaffirms his belief that he will retire Siver on Sunday in America and he tells us how he can’t wait to experience that unique Irish atmosphere in Boston.
“I went over to Boston last year and I saw these people who have probably never been to Ireland in their life but they’re so passionate,” he said. “Our little nation, all the way over here, can influence so many people in America. We built that city over there.
“What I’m really looking forward to is the Irish fans that follow me here, when they make that trip to Boston and they feel what I have, it gives you pride in your country.”
