‘You are a flop, kid. A nobody.’
Conor McGregor claims he has no interest in fighting Jake Paul after the MMA star described the YouTuber-turned-boxer as a ‘flop’ and a ‘nobody’.
Paul has called out McGregor on a number of occasions in the past, hoping to face off against the 33-year-old in a boxing bout.
The 25-year-old has since reiterated his intention to face the former UFC champion during a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour.
Conor McGregor dismisses talk of Jake Paul fight.
However, McGregor has dismissed Paul’s latest attempt to set up a fight, insisting that the ‘Problem Child’ is a ‘flop’.
Reacting to a video of Paul’s interview on Twitter, McGregor replied: “You’ve 2 fights and done 70k buys,” alongside the crying-laughing emoji.

Despite this, Paul still believes that a bout between the pair is inevitable, and is confident that he will face McGregor at some point in the future.
He said: “I think for me, fighting a couple more times, continuing to knock some people out, and he has to get active again, who knows when that’s gonna happen?
“I think those two things need to happen, and then at some point, it’s gotta happen.
“You know, why not? He’s a businessman, I’m a businessman, and that’s $75m to $100m for both of us.”
‘Problem Child’ set for return to the ring
Paul will return to the ring next month when he faces off against Hasim Rahman Jr at Madison Square Garden on August 6.
He was originally due to face Tommy Fury, however, the British fighter was forced to withdraw from the bout after being denied entry to the United States.
Meanwhile, McGregor has not fought since last July when he suffered a broken leg in his defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
