Maybe the developers confused him with Will Brooks?
Only two months until the highly anticipated EA Sports UFC 2 hits the shelves and new details are slowly starting to emerge from the game.
The cinematic first trailer for the release got gamers across the globe excited and a new one is set to be released online soon. This came after MMA Junkie scribe Mike Bohn’s revelation that CM Punk aka Phil Brooks would be included as a playable character in the game despite the fact that he is yet to make his professional debut made a lot of people furious.
If you’re curious, here’s what the former WWE superstar’s likeness in the game will look like.

Bohn dropped another nugget of information about CM Punk’s likeness in the game on Twitter.
Here's first image of @CMPunk from the new EA UFC 2 video game. His character was rated 85 out of 100 when I played. https://t.co/E6Ifqanpxk

To put that into context, Cm Punk’s 85 rating puts him on a par with Martin Kampmann and Francis Carmont, while he’s rated just one behind Mark Hunt and Ross Pearson from the previous installment in the game. These rating are based on the real life fighters’ striking, grappling, and submission ability, which makes one wonder how the developers managed to rate Punk at all.
Either way, a character’s rating on a game seems like a trivial thing to get upset over, but judging by Punk’s response on Twitter, some people must have been vexed over how highly the virtual Punk was rated.
Not since Samus Aran was revealed to be a woman have dummies been this butt hurt about a video game.

He raises a good point, it’s just only a game. Besides, Bruce Lee was rated quite highly in the last game, despite having never fought in a professional bout.
