Jose Aldo’s set to lose out on one hell of a payday according to Chael Sonnen.
The American Gangster is no stranger to fighting huge title fights against Brazilians.
Sonnen fought Anderson Silva for the middleweight strap twice, losing to the Spider on both occasions at UFC 117 and UFC 148 respectively.
Their rematch in Brazil was considered to be one of, if not the most anticipated fight in UFC history, largely thanks to Sonnen’s performance in the first bout and his brilliant media work in the build up to the fight.
It’s safe to say he made a decent chunk of change from the event.
Sonnen reckons Aldo was also going to make an astronomical amount of money from his main event bout with Conor McGregor at UFC 189. However, he reckons whoever leaked the information about his rib injury may have cost him dearly.
