Irish UFC star Cathal Pendred is already looking for another fight, just five days after his last trip to the Octagon.
The Punisher took home a unanimous decision victory over Augusto Montaño in the lion’s den at UFC 188 on Saturday, but is eyeing up another fight at the end of the month.
After reports circulated that Erick Silva may be forced to withdraw from his bout against Rick Story on the TUF: Brazil 4 Finale card, Pendred explained on Twitter that he was more than willing to step in.
Pendred might also have an extra incentive to take on Story. The American scored a shock victory over Pendred’s SBG training partner Gunnar Nelson in the main event at UFC Fight Night 53, Stockholm in October 2014. A bout would allow Pendred to seek payback on behalf of his gym.

We’ll have to wait and see whether the UFC want Pendred to take on “The Horror” Story, as so far no replacement for Silva has been named, nor have they confirmed that he is definitely out of the fight.
