Pendred’s bitter Boston opponent asked for a rematch via Twitter, and the Dubliner didn’t hesitate to respond
The Punisher battled to earn a highly dubious decision victory over Sean Spencer in Boston at the weekend.
Pendred had slightly more significant strikes and scored four takedowns in the fight which swayed the judges’ on Sunday night. The judges scored the fight 29-28, 30-27, 30-27 in favour of the Irishman.
However, both Twitter and Spencer seemed aggrieved at what they felt was an unfairly scored fight. The argument was that Spencer did far more damage with his punches and stuffed a lot more takedowns than were landed.
Spencer broke his silence on Twitter and demanded a rematch with Pendred.
Everyone knows what happened in my fight in Boston with the horrible judging but I'm going on @MMAjunkie @12:30 to discuss my viewpoint!

Spencer then tagged Pendred in a tweet, explaining his desire to fight the Dubliner again. Pendred responded with class, saying he was open to the idea of doing battle with Spencer again to settle the score.
@MMAjunkie in less than 45min. I've only been thinking about getting to beat up @PendredMMA again but doing it in a place with no bias.
