Cat Zingano has officially apologised for almost taking Conor McGregor’s head clean off at UFC 184
Alpha Cat took on the undisputed Queen of MMA, Ronda Rousey in the headline bout of the event.
Zingano fell victim to one of Rousey’s trademark armbars after just 14 seconds of the opening stanza ending her title challenge early. Despite the demoralising loss, Zingano epitomised class with her apology to Irish UFC superstar Conor McGregor after an incident that happened before the fight.
While she was making her way to the Octagon, Zingano fired her hat into the crowd with venom. The projectile narrowly missed McGregor from point blank range, largely due to some swift head movement from the Notorious.
Zingano admitted on Twitter that she was sincerely sorry for nearly hitting the Dubliner with her cap but commended him on his cat-like reflexes and his kind words in the media.
@TheNotoriousMMA sorry about the hat, trying to do my part in helping keep your reflexes sharp;) thanks for saying nice things abt me champ!
